Pair of Top-10 finishes in Gateway Dirt Nationals in St. Louis
Making his final start of the 2022 season, Jason Feger trekked south to the Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Mo.) on Thursday night to pilot his Titan Industries No. 25 Late Model for the sixth annual Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.
With the massive 119-car field split into two groups over Thursday and Friday preliminary nights, Feger followed up the third-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a runner-up performance in his heat race. With $5,000 on the line in Thursday’s prelim, Jason inched forward four spots in the 25-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
Back in action on Saturday, Jason secured his spot into the $30,000-to-win Gateway Dirt Nationals finale with a 12-lap victory in his qualifier. Starting in ninth, Feger rebounded with an eighth-place finish in the 50-lapper after fading outside the Top-10 in the early half of the race.
