Feger attends Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora
Taking part in the 29th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream, Jason Feger trekked to the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) as the three-day event kicked off on Thursday with a pair of preliminary features.
With the massive 95-car field divided into two groups, Feger snuck into his prelim with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 20th, Jason gained four positions in the 25-lap affair to finish 16th.
For another round of prelims on Friday, Jason’s eighth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into a B-Main for another shot at the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Taking the top-two, Feger fell one spot short with a third-place outing.
With preliminary points pinning him on the fifth row of his heat race on Saturday, Jason jumped up three positions to finish sixth, giving him one final shot at the $129,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place second or better, Feger failed to qualify with a sixth-place finish.
Back in action on Monday, Feger stopped at Kokomo Speedway (Kokomo, Ind.) for the XR Super Series-sanctioned 100K Upgrade. Following the second-fastest qualifying lap in his group, Jason led every lap in his heat to pick up the win. Chasing a $100,000 payday in the feature, Feger ran in the top-five early but faded as the laps winded down. He hung onto a 15th-place finish in the 100-lapper.
