Runner-up finish in Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria

Jason Feger was back in action with the MARS Late Model Championship Series on Saturday evening, salvaging a rain-shortened weekend of racing.

With Friday’s Diggin’ Dirt 40 at Brownstown (IL) Bullring washed out by inclement weather, Feger shifted his focus to Saturday’s Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria Speedway, where 29 competitors signed in. After finishing second in his heat race, Feger carried that momentum into the $5,098-to-win main event. He led early in the 40-lap feature before ultimately securing a solid runner-up finish.

Jason is currently fourth in the latest MARS point standings.
