Jason Feger scores 200th career win at Spoon River Speedway
“Highside Hustler” Wraps Labor Day Weekend with Plowboy Nationals Victory
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (08/31/25) — Jason Feger hit a major career milestone over Labor Day weekend, recording his 200th career feature win during a three-race swing with the MARS Late Model Championship Series.
The Bloomington, Illinois native kicked off the weekend Friday at Farmer City Raceway, finishing third in the Chuckwagon Food Service 40. He improved his performance Saturday at Fairbury Speedway, finishing one spot better with the runner-up honors in the Late Model portion of the Illinois Dirt Shootout. He joined winner Ashton Winger and third-place finisher Brian Shirley on the podium.
The upward trajectory continued Sunday at Spoon River Speedway, where Feger claimed a $5,000 victory in the Plowboy Nationals. The win marked his 13th of the 2025 season and the 200th of his career.
“Babb had a really good car,” Feger said. “I got him on that one restart and then he got me on the other restart, and (then) I was just trying to be patient. I started catching Ashton there and I felt pretty good before that yellow come out, and then … it’s just tough. Air definitely means a little bit here, too, and the track was a little different tonight I think with the sprint cars (racing). I mean, it was really good. I just didn't really know where to be, and it was really demanding out there.”
Coming out of the weekend, Feger maintains a 70-point advantage atop the latest MARS Late Model Championship Series standings.
