Jason Feger Double Dips with MARS at Davenport
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Sept. 15, 2025) — Reigning MARS Late Model Championship Series champion Jason Feger delivered a stellar three-race swing this past weekend, claiming two wins and a runner-up finish in Sunday’s finale to cap off a lucrative stretch.
Feger swept the Corn State Nationals at Davenport Speedway (Iowa) on Friday and Saturday, before finishing second in Sunday’s Gem City Showdown at Quincy Raceway (Ill.).
“I appreciate all these fans coming out and track crew did a great job tonight. I missed the setup quite a bit, actually, the car felt horrible early, especially after they pushed them (infield) tires in that much,” Feger said after Saturday's win. “I was about to pass Chris (Simpson) and the yellow came out and I seen Chad, his (stick) guy down there telling him to choose the top on the restart. I didn’t think I was gonna have anything for him after that, but man we got ‘er done.”
The tripleheader kicked off on Friday at Davenport, where Feger was nearly untouchable. He earned fast time honors, won his heat race, and led flag-to-flag in the 30-lap feature for a dominant opening-night victory.
On Saturday, Feger secured his spot in the $10,000-to-win main event with a runner-up finish in his heat. Rolling off from the sixth position, he steadily worked his way forward and took control on lap 36, sealing his second win in as many nights and 15th overall victory of the 2025 season.
With back-to-back wins at Davenport, Feger pocketed a total of $15,000 heading into Sunday’s closer.
At Quincy Raceway, Feger rounded out the weekend with a second-place finish in the Gem City Showdown, narrowly missing a sweep of the tripleheader.
With his strong weekend performance, Feger extended his lead atop the MARS Late Model Championship Series standings, now holding a 112-point advantage.
