Feger second in Brownstown 100
The next stop on the MARS Late Model Championship Series circuit brought Jason Feger to the Brownstown Bullring on Friday for the annual running of the Brownstown 100.
After advancing one spot in his heat to finish second, Feger continued his charge in the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event, gaining three positions to secure a runner-up finish. He joined race winner Tanner English and third-place finisher Dennis Erb Jr. on the podium.
Saturday’s scheduled event at Peoria Speedway was postponed to September 27 due to weather.
With his strong performance, Feger’s lead in the latest MARS point standings has ballooned to a commanding 151-point margin.
