Fourth-place finish in Gateway Dirt Nationals

Jason Feger made the trip to St. Louis, Missouri, this past weekend for the ninth annual Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome at America’s Center.

Slated for Thursday’s preliminary program, the Bloomington, Illinois, native secured the final transfer position in his heat with a runner-up finish. Battling for a $10,000 prize and a guaranteed berth into Saturday’s main event, Feger advanced five spots in the feature to record a seventh-place result.

Forced to race his way in on Saturday, Feger delivered, charging to a 10-lap qualifier victory to lock into the $70,000-to-win finale. He closed out his weekend with a strong fourth-place finish in the 40-lap affair, trailing Bobby Pierce, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Brandon Sheppard to the checkers with Nick Hoffman finishing fifth.
