Feger wins thriller at Waikaraka Family Speedway
The 2026 season officially got underway for Jason Feger this past weekend as Waikaraka Family Speedway in Auckland, New Zealand, hosted the opening round of the Super Saloon International, featuring three American drivers.
Feger made an immediate impact, setting a new track record in time trials and winning his heat race. In the feature event, he mounted an impressive comeback to outrun fellow American K.C. Burdette and capture a thrilling photo-finish victory. Early mechanical issues dropped him as far back as 12th, but Feger charged through the field and took the win by a razor-thin margin of just 0.027 seconds.
